WONDERLANG / How you’ll learn
How you’ll learn
Explore a world where conversations, quests and battles become language practice. Here’s how the learning fits into the adventure.

Learn by doing
Quests, puzzles and conversations introduce vocabulary in context. Rather than working through isolated word lists, you use the language to understand the world and move the story forward.
Look up words during dialogue, replay pronunciation and consult sentence explanations when you need help.

Review what you’ve just learned
Dialogue reviews bring back vocabulary and sentences from the scene. Flashcards, listening and writing activities help you practise what you encountered. Vocabulary returns in later encounters through spaced repetition.
Regular review supports retention; progress depends on your practice and starting level.

Turn practice into battle
Choose translations, match words or type answers to attack. Conjugation exercises put verb forms into practice. Adjective stones let you modify attacks with qualities such as heat, cold, light or darkness.
Adjust combat length or reduce random encounters when you want more time for exploration and dialogue.

Choose your starting level
Very Beginner: extra review checkpoints and guided early quests for learners starting from scratch.
A1: fewer review-heavy early segments, with optional Chapter 1 side quests.
A2: skips more early reviews and makes side quests in Chapters 1 and 2 optional. These are starting modes, not a promise of certification.
Japanese and Korean include introductory writing-system lessons. On-screen keyboards support practice in non-Latin scripts.

Make it your adventure
Use pronunciation, vocabulary help and grammar explanations at your own pace. Mix the story with reviews, optional quests and mini-games. For practical advice at each level, visit our study guide.
