WONDERLANG / Study tips
Make every session count
Whether you’re starting from zero, studying at A1 or A2, or returning after a break, find a rhythm that works for you.

Very Beginner: build a routine
Very Beginner mode offers guided early quests, frequent reviews and dialogue recaps. If you also use classes, books or another app, a few hours of WonderLang each week can reinforce that learning.
If WonderLang is your main study tool, aim for manageable sessions of around 30 minutes. Take notes, copy useful sentences and complete optional reviews. Use a dictionary or other references when you need them: understanding matters more than guessing.
Keep separate save slots to revisit earlier chapters. Request the free PDF study materials through the game for vocabulary flashcards, dialogues and extra exercises. Consistency matters more than speed.
A1: reinforce your foundations
A1 mode skips the most review-heavy early segments and makes Chapter 1 side quests optional. Later chapters introduce more vocabulary, grammar and conjugation practice.
Adjust combat length and random encounters to match your energy. Short, regular sessions can fit alongside your other learning.
A2: apply what you know
A2 mode skips more introductory reviews and makes side quests in Chapters 1 and 2 optional. Use the adventure to apply familiar language in new contexts and notice expressions you haven’t met before.
Reduce random encounters for more story, or keep them for extra practice. WonderLang focuses on beginner through A2 content; it is not an advanced course.
Returning after a break
Start gently. Dialogue help, reviews and familiar RPG goals can make it easier to reconnect with a language you studied before. Change the settings as your confidence returns.
You do not need to understand every word immediately. Revisit useful phrases, listen again and enjoy the story.
